What tools will I need to use?
No Photoshop and no coding!
The main tools we will be using are:
WordPress, Squarespace and Wix are 2 of the most popular website systems that retreat leaders use for their websites.
If you have a website made on either platform then you’ll be happy to know that I will be sharing how-to’s for these platforms.
PS if you have a web programmer you’ll be able to give them the exact design and copy they need to do it for you without any backwards and forwards.
Squarespace
Squarespace is a website platform that is intuitive and easy to use. Its simple drag and drop functionality means that you can create and edit your site without any complicated coding. The monthly fee is just 18-26 USD/month, includes a gorgeous template of your choice and allows you to create a fully-functional, mobile-responsive website.
If you don’t have a website at all I recommend using Squarespace or Wix.
WordPress
The most popular website platform in the world. Highly customisable with a huge library of themes, templates and plugins. It is not as user-friendly as Squarespace but if you have a bit of experience, then this is a great option.
Wix
The underdog in the website creation world. It has made HUGE strides towards becoming an intuitive and easy-to-use platform. It was unimpressive when I first tried it years ago, but they have managed to change my mind recently, and it is now a really strong alternative to WordPress.
Canva
Easily create stunning graphics with the beginner-friendly Canva! You’ll be amazed at what you can create using this program! By the end of this course, you’ll have a full understanding of how to use Canva and how to create branded graphics you can use again and again. For the course, I recommend the 30-day free trial of Canva Pro.
Is this course for me even if I use a web programmer?
I feel you could still get a lot of benefits from joining the programme. You can do everything from the strategy to writing the copy and designing the whole sales page and thank you page in Canva. You’ll then have a complete design and written copy ready to hand over to your web developer for programming. There will be no backwards and forwards trying to explain your vision.
Is the course predominantly for retreat leaders who don’t already have retreat sales pages?
